Springfield Lobby Day was an amazing day and was blessed to be a part of it. I saw people organized and disciplined for a struggle that is dear to my heart. People gathered together in the state capital almost full to capacity and chanted together so that their voices could be heard. I truly believed that we made an impact by telling our state legislator and Gov. Rauner to “Stop balancing the budget on the backs of the 99%!” I learned that people organized and disciplined can make their values and presence known in a powerful way. I will definitely continue to be part of the struggle!
