One of the main responsibilities of the District Council is to hold monthly community meetings. These Meetings include:

• Updates from District Council Members on the work we’ve been doing.

• 19th Police District public safety updates.

• Guest speakers from organizations across the 19th District working on issues impacting public safety like mental health response, community violence intervention, homelessness, and more.

• A public comment period of up to 20 minutes, up to 2 minutes per speaker.
