Shout out to the awesome members of our Faith Leaders Table, who joined us last week for a lunch meeting to talk about what's going on in their congregations, and how we can come together as North Side organizations committed to building power for social, economic, and racial justice. We had a really good discussion! We love having these powerful, committed faith leaders and institutions as members of ONE Northside!

Community Safety and Youth Organizer Tharina recen

Community Safety and Youth Organizer Tharina recently met with students at Sullivan High School to talk to them about our organizing work and opportunities for them to get involved. We've been working with the students on a civic action project through a partnership with Practicing Democracy in Communities. Last week we traveled to Springfield with over 40

Last week we traveled to Springfield with over 40 ONE Northside grassroots leaders, Parent Mentors, organizers and members of our Violence Prevention team (@cp4ponenorthside) to talk to our state representatives about our priorities for our neighborhoods, especially the crucial need for progressive revenue solutions that will allow us to keep funding our vital community programs! With progressive revenue solutions like closing corporate tax loopholes we can have over $6billion in new revenue to make sure our families and neighborhoods thrive!

Last night members of our Building Safe Communitie

Last night members of our Building Safe Communities team and Violence Prevention team attended the public meeting of the @ccpsa_chicago to participate in this important part of our police accountability infrastructure! Members of the team gave public comment to the commission on their experiences with pretextual stops, which disproportionately targets Black and Brown drivers and creates dangerous and unjust situations. Shoutout to our teams!
