ONE Northside's main office in Uptown is moving! Over the next week we will be closed for a holiday break and to accommodate movers while we shift our location to a new office in the Institute of Cultural Affairs Building at 4750 N Sheridan Rd, Ste 200. This is just a few blocks from our old office, still in the heart of Uptown. We can't wait to see you in our new office in 2025!¡La oficina principal de ONE Northside en Uptown se está mudando! Durante la próxima semana, estaremos cerrados por un receso de vacaciones y para facilitar el traslado mientras cambiamos nuestra ubicación a una nueva oficina en el edificio del Instituto de Asuntos Culturales, ubicado en 4750 N Sheridan Rd, Ste 200. Shout out to the volunteers who came out to wrap presents for our annual toy drive this weekend, and an extra big kudos to our leader Esther who puts so many tireless hours into the toy drive every year! 🌟
The Violence Prevention team will be handing out toys and gifts to families in Rogers Park on Friday and Uptown on Saturday. More details on their page at @cp4ponenorthside

Another budget vote in City Council today = ONE No

Another budget vote in City Council today = ONE Northside leaders out in support again for real progressive budget solutions, like moving money from police vacancies into CDPH and other programs that would make a real difference for violence prevention!

We want to see more affordable housing in Edgewate

We want to see more affordable housing in Edgewater and Uptown! Members of our Housing Justice team will be attending this community meeting on Monday, December 16 at Furama restaurant to learn more about the proposed development along the Broadway Corridor! If you'd like to join to hear about the proposal with us, RSVP at bit.ly/broadwaymtg. The Chicago Department of Planning and Development, in collaboration with the alderpeople of the 46th, 47th, and 48th wards, is considering a rezoning project along Broadway from Montrose to Devon. Following a community meeting in October where residents provided feedback, a subsequent meeting is scheduled to present draft land use and zoning recommendations based on that input. This meeting offers an opportunity for residents to review and discuss the proposed plans that may impact their neighborhood. Your participation is valuable in shaping the future development of the Broadway corridor.

Our Violence Prevention team will be doing their annual Toy Giveaways soon! On December 20 in Rogers Park at 747 W Howard St and on December 21 in Uptown at the 46th Ward Aldermanic office, from 3pm-7pm, any family can come and receive gifts (one gift per child), with toys, games, stuffed animals, sports items and more available for kids from babies to teens. Hot food will also be served. All items are first come first served. Thanks to our generous community partners, many donors, and Metropolitan Peace Initiatives for supporting this Light in the Night initiative.¡Nuestro equipo de Prevención de la Violencia estará haciendo sus regalos anuales de juguete pronto! El 20 de diciembre en Rogers Park en 747 W Howard St y el 21 de diciembre en Uptown en la oficina del Concejal del Distrito 46, de 3pm-7pm, cualquier familia puede venir y recibir regalos (un regalo por niño), con juguetes, juegos, peluches, artículos deportivos y más disponibles para los niños desde bebés hasta adolescentes.
