Thanks to all who came to our Membership Council earlier this week! What a powerful meeting! We welcomed new members, discussed campaign updates, and enjoyed each other’s company. We also launched our listening campaign to hear from 1000 North Side neighbors about what matters most to them!Gracias a todos los que asistieron al Consejo de Socios esta semana. Fue una reunión intensa. Dimos la bienvenida a nuevos miembros, debatimos las actualizaciones de la campaña y disfrutamos de la compañía de los demás. También pusimos en marcha nuestra campaña de escucha para conocer las opiniones de 1.000 vecinos de North Side sobre lo que más les importa.

Shout out to the awesome members of our Faith Leaders Table, who joined us last week for a lunch meeting to talk about what's going on in their congregations, and how we can come together as North Side organizations committed to building power for social, economic, and racial justice. We had a really good discussion! We love having these powerful, committed faith leaders and institutions as members of ONE Northside!

Community Safety and Youth Organizer Tharina recen

Community Safety and Youth Organizer Tharina recently met with students at Sullivan High School to talk to them about our organizing work and opportunities for them to get involved. We've been working with the students on a civic action project through a partnership with Practicing Democracy in Communities. Young people across the North Side can get involved in our work through our Youth Table - and by joining our Youth Mixer on March 26! Info and sign up at the link on our bio.

You’re invited to join other young people (14-24) from across the North Side for a fun event to get to know your community, get introduced to ONE Northside, and get a sense of how you can make change. Last week we traveled to Springfield with over 40

Last week we traveled to Springfield with over 40 ONE Northside grassroots leaders, Parent Mentors, organizers and members of our Violence Prevention team (@cp4ponenorthside) to talk to our state representatives about our priorities for our neighborhoods, especially the crucial need for progressive revenue solutions that will allow us to keep funding our vital community programs! With progressive revenue solutions like closing corporate tax loopholes we can have over $6billion in new revenue to make sure our families and neighborhoods thrive!
